Pacific Consulting Arborists

We provide expertise to solve complex tree problems.

Tree Plans for Development

A tree protection plan is a set of instructions to preserve trees during construction. Tree plans are often required to satisfy the municipal tree code requirements for proposed development. We are experts at understanding municipal tree codes to support your design and construction needs in conjunction with municipal tree codes.

Arborist Construction Monitoring & Oversight

Arborist monitoring is often a requirement of municipal code to ensure full compliance of the approved tree plan when working close to protected trees. Having an arborist on site who understands construction and the local municipal code increases efficiency and can prevent delays, fines, work stoppage, or plan revisions.

Tree Permit Applications

We assist in the preparation and submission for tree permit applications. We have nearly two decades of experience with understanding the permit process, regulations, and timing for municipal tree codes.

Tree Risk Assessment

We conduct tree risk assessments to determine a tree’s potential for failure and likelihood to cause injury to people or damage to property. We apply a systematic approach to identify, analyze, and evaluate tree risk. We can quantify the likelihood of the occurrence and the severity of the consequence to provide a risk rating in an arborist report.

Tree Appraisal

The tree appraisal process is used to identify a cost or value associated with a tree or plant. Common reasons for tree and plant appraisal are: casualty loss, insurance claims, litigation purposes, and property valuation.

Tree Inventory

A tree inventory is a record of trees within a designated area that can be used for management decisions and actions. Inventories typically include tree species (common and scientific name), diameter, health and condition, structural condition, inventory number, and comments specific to the tree as needed.

Insect and Disease Diagnosis and Testing

Our goal is to find ecological, sustainable, and practical solutions to support tree health. We use a combination of diagnostic techniques, including the collection of symptomatic tree parts in conjunction with the testing and analysis by plant pathologists and entomologists to accurately diagnose your trees and shrubs (with the Oregon State Botany and Plant Clinic).
